Funeral Plans In Swansea

Thinking about your own funeral may not be something you particularly want to do, but putting a plan in place now can make things much easier for the people you leave behind.

At BJR Funerals, we believe a funeral plan should be about your wishes, your choices and giving your family peace of mind.

Our funeral planning service allows you to talk through exactly what you would like to happen when the time comes. You can decide on the type of funeral, the kind of service you would like, music, readings, who you would like to be involved and any other personal wishes that are important to you.

There is no need to make everything complicated. We can simply sit down together, talk through your wishes and put them into a clear plan that your family can refer to when they need it.

Planning your funeral doesn't mean you have to make every decision straight away.

Some people know exactly what they want. Others simply have a general idea.

We can talk through your options at your own pace and help you decide what feels right.

You may want a traditional burial, a traditional cremation with a funeral service, or a simple direct cremation followed by a memorial or celebration of life at a later date.

You can also leave some things open for your family to decide.

The important thing is that there is a plan in place.

When someone dies, relatives are often left having to make a lot of decisions at a very difficult time.

By planning your funeral yourself, you can take many of those decisions away from your family.

It means they won't have to wonder:

  • Did Mum want to be buried or cremated?

  • What sort of service would Dad have wanted?

  • Which music should we choose?

  • Did they want a religious or non-religious service?

  • Who should conduct the funeral?

  • What sort of coffin would they have chosen?

  • Would they have wanted flowers?

  • Was there anything particularly important to them?

Instead, your wishes are already written down and your family has something clear to follow.

Most importantly, it means your funeral can reflect you.

Pay-what-you-can Funeral Plans

At BJR Funerals, we understand that not everyone can afford to pay for a funeral plan in one large payment.

That's why we offer a pay-what-you-can approach.

You can start planning your funeral with us and make payments in instalments that are manageable for you.

There is no need to put yourself under financial pressure simply because you want to make arrangements for your own funeral.

You decide what you can comfortably afford to pay and when you can afford to pay it.

If there is an outstanding balance when the funeral eventually takes place, the remaining amount can be paid by your family as part of the funeral arrangements.

This means you can still put your wishes in place now, even if you are not in a position to pay for the whole funeral in advance.

The purpose of our approach is simple:

Plan now. Pay what you can. Give your family clear instructions for later.

We can explain exactly how this works when we sit down with you, so you know where you stand from the beginning.
