Barry J Richards & Daughter Funeral Directors is an independent, family-run funeral director based in Swansea. We understand that arranging a funeral can be difficult, particularly at a time when you are dealing with the loss of someone close to you. Our aim is to make the process as simple and personal as possible, while giving every family the time and support they need.

Our Experience
Barry has over 25 years of experience in funeral directing and is registered with the British Institute of Embalmers. Over the years, he has supported many families through the difficult process of arranging a funeral and understands that no two families or circumstances are the same.
We believe in taking the time to listen to what you want, explain your options clearly and help you arrange a funeral that reflects the life and wishes of your loved one.
A Personal Service
As an independent funeral director, you can speak directly with us throughout the arrangements. We don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Whether you are arranging a traditional burial, traditional cremation or direct cremation, we will work with you to make sure the funeral is arranged in a way that feels right for your family.
We also offer funeral planning for those who want to make their own arrangements in advance, with our pay-what-you-can approach allowing you to make payments when you can afford them.

Our Chapels of Rest
We have access to two private chapels of rest in the Swansea area, providing a quiet and private place for families to spend time with their loved one.
Where possible, we can also arrange viewing appointments outside normal office hours and at weekends, giving families greater flexibility during what can be a very difficult time.
